10 Most Used and Trusted Apps

From communication to fun to work, iPhone apps provide everything we need to get through the day. We use our smartphones for a lot of things throughout the day. We listen to music, play games, watch videos, and talk to one another on social media. Another use for smartphones is to make our lives easier. Thankfully, there are plenty of apps that can do just that. You carry this thing on you all the time so why not let it make your life easier?

Spotify

I’m sure you all can agree with me when I say that I cannot imagine life without music. Everything is better with music. I have Spotify, and I use it just about every day. I pay $10 a month for premium and trust me when I say it is so worth it. There are no ads; I can use the app without service, I can create my own playlists and so much more. There is everything you would ever want to listen to on.

Instagram

Ahhh yes a trendy app that I'm sure you’ve all heard of, but if you haven’t, Instagram is a free photo and video sharing app. People can upload photos or videos to the service and share them with their followers or with a select group of friends. They can also view, comment and like posts shared by their friends on Instagram. I most definitely use this app every day but I try to use it for less than 30 minutes a day because I could mindlessly scroll for hours a day.

Pinterest

Pinterest is another free app that I use almost daily. Pinterest is a social media website that allows users to organize and share images and videos from around the Web. I love how the Pinterest app is the same as on a computer. Users can upload, save, sort, and manage images—known as pins—and other media content through collections known as pinboards. It is so easy to get ideas for just about anything you need. I have also learned a lot about being more creative with crafting, school, organizing and more.

Notes/Google Docs

Another free app! To create a new note, tap the Create new note button at the bottom right. Touch anywhere inside the note to bring up the keyboard and start writing. As for Google Docs, the app deals only with word processing and text editing. I use notes and Googles Docs when I am on the go with any random ideas I have. I love to write down blog posts ideas or really anything that comes to mind. Both apps are super easy to share with others or to email yourself for a friendly reminder.

YouTube

YouTube is free to use, and a can be a great space for teens to discover things they like. For many young people, YouTube is used to watch music videos, comedy shows, how to guides, recipes, hacks and more. There's a lot you can do with YouTube, and it is quite dangerous as I can easily stay on that app for hours. Users can search for and watch videos, create a personal YouTube channel, upload videos to your channel, like/comment/share other YouTube videos, users can subscribe/follow other YouTube channels and users, create playlists to organize videos and group videos together. Just a quick tip, try not to use the app on your data, use Wifi instead, as it typically uses all of it and my battery.

Mail

I love this app because I can sign into all three of my emails and they all come into the same inbox. If you prefer them not to mix up your emails, you can easily view each inbox separately which is very convenient. You can use the Mail app to compose, reply to, and sort email on your Mac. You can also add and mark up attachments.

Canva

Use Canva’s drag-and-drop feature and professional layouts to design consistently stunning graphics for free. I have downloaded just about every free photo editor app in the App Store. From the app, you can choose various templates such as a Facebook cover banner, thank you cards or social media graphics, among other designs. I love that I can edit pictures and make Pinterest thumbnails with it.

I mean could you even survive without this app on your phone?

Safari/Internet

This is a very popular app that is on every phone. You can look up and research any information that you need!

Google Photos

Apple's come a long way with its photo app, but it still lags behind the one built by its biggest competitor. Google Photos is a super-smart photo assistant that can store all your images in the Cloud (a very less frustrating version of iCloud), and also intelligently organize photos using machine vision, so all your pictures are searchable. It's simply the best photo-storing app out there.
